Last week, with support from Middlesex in the Community, CKC brought together primary schools from Hackney and Tower Hamlets for a cricket festival in Victoria Park to celebrate the upcoming women’s T20 World Cup.
Run as part of Chance to Shine’s Schools Cricket Day, the festival took place 50 days before the World Cup is due to start and focussed on introducing children to the game as well as meeting new friends.
children from 4 local schools were treated to sunshine and a day full of cricketing activities in the park, including learning about the game, and getting excited ahead of this summer’s action!
