Community Walking Project To Inspire Health, Connection and Wellbeing

Emdad Rahman

A new community led Walking Project is set to bring people together in a shared commitment to healthier living, social connection and outdoor activity, launching at Seven Kings Park.

Taking place every Sunday at 10:30am, the initiative welcomes individuals of all ages and fitness levels. Whether participants are aiming to improve their physical health, meet new people, or simply enjoy fresh air in a supportive environment, the project offers an inclusive and accessible space for all.

The Walking Project is designed to strengthen community ties while promoting wellbeing through regular, gentle exercise. In a time where social isolation and sedentary lifestyles remain ongoing challenges, this initiative provides a simple yet powerful way for residents to reconnect with both nature and one another.

This programme is proudly supported through funding delivered by Transport for London on behalf of the Mayor of London, in collaboration with the London Marathon Foundation and Groundwork London. Together, these partnerships aim to create meaningful, long term impact across local communities by encouraging active lifestyles and grassroots engagement.

Participants can register online via the official link.

This launch marks the beginning of a wider movement focused on empowering communities through simple, sustainable action.

The organisers encourage everyone to take that first step and be part of something positive.
