Football for a Cause: Charity Tournament Set to Inspire

A powerful blend of sport and compassion will take centre stage on Sunday 3rd May 2026 as House of Giving hosts a Charity Football Tournament at Powerleague Romford.

Running from 10am to 3pm, the 7 a side competition will feature 12 teams, each driven by victory on and off the pitch. With squads allowed three substitutes, organisers are expecting a fast paced, competitive tournament with strong community backing.

Beyond the football, the event carries a deeper purpose—raising funds to build homes and improve lives in Bangladesh and Pakistan. With a £100 team registration fee and a fundraising target of £500 per team, the initiative aims to channel grassroots energy into meaningful, life changing impact.

The tournament reflects a growing movement where football becomes a vehicle for social good, uniting players, supporters, and communities around a shared humanitarian goal. From early kick off to the final whistle, the day promises passion, teamwork, and a reminder of football’s wider influence beyond the game.

A spokesperson for House of Giving said: “This tournament is about goals, trophies and helping people. Every team that takes part is contributing to something far greater, helping us build homes and bring hope to those who need it most.”

With registration now open, organisers are encouraging teams and supporters alike to get involved and be part of a day where football truly makes a difference.
