Families across Barking & Dagenham could benefit from free Pop-Up Play Days this October half term, with London Play inviting residents to help bring more opportunities for children to play safely within their own communities.
The initiative is aimed at residents living on housing estates and in blocks of flats who would like to see better, safer and more welcoming spaces for children to play close to home.
London Play will provide the play equipment, games and experienced playworkers, while local residents are being encouraged to get involved and help make the activities happen in their neighbourhood.
The Pop Up Play Days are designed to create positive spaces where children can play, have fun, be active and meet other young people, while strengthening connections between families and neighbours.
Residents in Barking & Dagenham who are interested are being asked to complete a short survey to express their interest.

For local communities, initiatives such as this provide an opportunity to turn everyday spaces into places where children can enjoy active play, build friendships and feel part of their neighbourhood.
