● During Suhur avoid drinking tea and coffee.

● It is recommended to take foods that are slow to digest and high in fibre, wheat, nuts, seeds, and brown rice.

● When breaking fast it is recommended to take dates because they contain sugar, fibre, carbohydrates, potassium and magnesium. The body’s nutrients lost during fasting can slowly be replaced by eating dates.

● Eating bananas when breaking fast is very good for our bodies as a source of potassium, magnesium and carbohydrates.

● Reduce fried foods when breaking fastbecause fat cells will increase in the body. Senior citizens are more likely to suffer from diseases caused by fat, such as heart disease, blocked blood vessels and high blood pressure.

● Take less food containing sugar.

● Drink lots of water between breaking fast and before going to bed. The goal is that the body receives enough fluids and can carry out activities the next day, smoothly and energetically.
