The inaugural Inter Kurar Bazar Football Tournament delivered an unforgettable occasion of football, friendship and community spirit as teams gathered at Enfield College for a landmark sporting event organised by Kurar Bazar Union Sporting Club UK.

Established in 2025, Kurar Bazar Union Sporting Club UK was formed with a vision of promoting sport, strengthening community cohesion and creating opportunities for participation and development through sporting activities.

The tournament reflected those aims perfectly, bringing together players, families and supporters for a day built on competition, unity and shared heritage.

Played in a six a side format with four substitutes permitted, the event featured determination, quality football and strong village representation throughout an exciting programme of fixtures.

After an impressive tournament campaign, Gobindasree lifted the trophy after topping their group and producing outstanding performances during the competition. Angura Muhammadpur (AMP) finished runners up following an excellent tournament run and earned widespread praise for their quality and resilience.

Beanibazar veteran Abdul Sabur from Gobindasree reflected proudly on the achievement: “Thanks for an amazing event and congratulations to all the teams we consider family. It was a competitive and enjoyable set of games.

“Unlucky AMP, they were amazing. We are proud of our team Gobindasree for topping the group and winning the trophy. We got knocked out on penalties in our last three tournaments so this one tasted much sweeter.

“Big thanks to everyone behind the scenes and we build towards the Union Cup and Village Cup.”

On behalf of the tournament organisers; Monwar Hussain, Monz and Rejwan Afthakar Ahmed praised the collective effort behind the day.

“The objective was always bigger than football. We wanted to bring people together, strengthen community ties and create something positive through sport.

“The support from volunteers, players, organisers and supporters made this a special occasion and a proud moment for Kurar Bazar Union Sporting Club UK.”

The organising committee received praise for delivering a well run and memorable event, with appreciation extended to volunteers and organisers, alongside committee members and sponsors who worked tirelessly behind the scenes.

Beyond goals and trophies, the day celebrated friendship, identity, belonging and community connection.

The first Inter Kurar Bazar Football Tournament has established strong foundations for future competitions and demonstrated how sport continues to unite communities across generations.
