The Deshi Golf Academy is offering young people a golden opportunity to learn and enjoy the game of golf in a friendly and supportive environment. Based at Crowlands Golf Centre, Dagenham RM8 1JX, the academy runs every Saturday from 1.30 pm, with sessions costing just £5 per child.
Led by experienced coaches, the academy focuses on making golf accessible, enjoyable, and a tool for personal development. Young players not only improve their golf skills but also benefit from the physical exercise, mental focus, and discipline the sport encourages.
Imrul Gazi, one of the leaders of the Deshi Golf Academy, commented,
“Golf is a fantastic sport for young people because it’s fun, builds confidence, and develops important life skills like patience and focus. It’s also a great way to stay active, enjoy the outdoors, and make new friends. At Deshi Golf Academy, we aim to make the game enjoyable and beneficial for everyone who joins.
“I would like to thank the Muslimah Sports Association – Without their support and partnership we would not have been able to subsidise the cost of the sessions, which has allowed us to expand our reach to more children from our community.”
Golf, often seen as a lifelong sport, promotes fitness, mental health, and social skills — making it ideal for youth development.
