A special memorial football tournament will take place on Sunday 13 September 2026 at Mabley Green, London (E9 5HW), bringing together the community to honour the life and legacy of Dawlath Khan (Babul), who sadly passed away from cancer on 24 March 2026.

Organised by Bishwanath Sports Association UK and Fifty Active Club, alongside a network of community sports organisations he supported, founded, and inspired, the event will serve as both a tribute and a continuation of his lifelong commitment to unity, service, and grassroots sport.

The tournament will feature open age, 35+, and 50+ categories, reflecting Babul’s inclusive spirit and passion for engaging all generations through sport.

Kick off is scheduled for 9:30am, with teams and supporters expected from across London and beyond.

All proceeds raised from the tournament will be donated to charity. The initiative embodies the values he lived by: generosity, humility, and community service.

Azad Khan, the younger brother of Dawlath Khan Babul, shared an emotional reflection:
“My brother gave his time, energy, and heart to people without expecting anything in return. This tournament is a small way of continuing his good deeds and ensuring his legacy lives on. We ask everyone to join us, pray for him, and be part of something beneficial.”

District Cup winner Syed Salique Ahmed and Anfor Ali from Bishwanath Sports Association, both team mates of Babul commented: “This event is a coming together of people whose lives were touched by Babul Bhai. His dedication to community upliftment and sport leaves behind a legacy we are committed to carrying forward.”

The organisers extend a heartfelt invitation to players, supporters, and sponsors to take part in this meaningful day of remembrance, unity, and charity.
