Hundreds of runners are expected to lace up their shoes on Saturday 20th September 2025 for the RunThrough Olympic Park 5k & 10k, an event that promises both speed and spectacle in one of the capital’s most iconic sporting venues.
Taking place in the North Park of Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, the route has been designed to showcase the legacy of the London 2012 Games while offering participants a flat, quick circuit ideal for chasing new personal bests. The course will see competitors loop around the grounds in two laps for the 5k and four laps for the 10k, ensuring a fast-paced and highly atmospheric race environment.
Every entrant will receive a special commemorative medal, along with chip timed results, professional photographs, and post race refreshments. With kilometre markers positioned throughout and a dedicated team of marshals offering guidance and encouragement, runners can expect a well organised and supportive atmosphere from start to finish.
Beyond the race itself, the event village will provide a lively hub for participants and spectators alike, with food and drink stalls, hot coffee, and giveaways from event partners. Organisers are also making sustainability a priority, reflecting the growing importance of environmentally conscious running events.
“Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park is a place steeped in sporting history, and we’re excited to bring people together here again,” said organisers at RunThrough.
“Whether you’re chasing a fast time or simply enjoying the buzz of race day, this is about celebrating fitness, community, and fun.”
The race begins at 9:30 am at the Timber Lodge Café (1A Honour Lea Avenue, London E20 1DY), with runners encouraged to arrive early to soak up the pre race atmosphere.
With its combination of history, energy, and friendly competition, the RunThrough Olympic Park 5k & 10k is set to be one of London’s most anticipated running fixtures this autumn.
