The RunThrough Media City Running Event offers participants a unique racing experience set against the vibrant backdrop of Salford Quays. Starting and finishing in the heart of Media City, the course takes runners on a 2.5 km loop showcasing some of the area’s most iconic landmarks. The route crosses over the canal, passes by the Imperial War Museum, and winds past the ITV and BBC studios, blending cultural landmarks with a lively atmosphere.
The event is designed to cater to both beginners and seasoned athletes, with distances of 5k (2 laps) and 10k (4 laps). The course is flat and fast, making it well-suited for personal best attempts while remaining accessible for those seeking a more relaxed run.
Although the race takes place within Media City, it is not a closed road event, and participants will run along paths and pavements. Kilometre markers will be clearly displayed throughout the route, and volunteers will be stationed around the course to support runners and maintain safety.
