Today is Schools Cricket Day, with over 200,000 school children expected to celebrate and engage with women’s & girls cricket and a T20 Women’s World Cup on home soil!
We kicked off the day with a brilliant LIVE School’s Cricket Day Assembly this morning hosted by Picture News, and with school events all over the country, find out what’s happening across the network here.
It’s wonderful to see our sport in the spotlight across both national and local media, and to witness such incredible collaboration between the recreational cricket community and schools to deliver barrier-free cricket experiences to children across England and Wales. This presents an amazing chance for clubs to form lasting links with schools in their community, continuing the playing opportunity from schools to clubs.
A huge thank you to every club and volunteer who is contributing and delivering cricket to so many school children across England and Wales.
