House of Giving Launches Midweek Fitness Sessions

Emdad Rahman

A new community fitness initiative from House of Giving is bringing together physical training, self-defence and brotherhood every Wednesday evening in Dagenham.

The Wednesday Night Fitness sessions take place at 8pm every Wednesday at Hatfield Hall, 71 Hatfield Road, Dagenham, offering an inclusive environment where participants of all abilities can train, learn and develop together.

The sessions feature a varied programme including stretching, self-defence techniques, grappling and wrestling, controlled sparring and Filipino martial arts. The programme is designed to develop mobility, strength, coordination, confidence and practical skills while encouraging participants to train safely and respectfully.

With an emphasis on participation rather than ability, brothers of all levels are encouraged to get involved. The sessions combine fitness with technical learning and controlled partner work, creating opportunities to build discipline, confidence and positive relationships through sport.

The initiative reflects the wider community ethos of House of Giving, using sport and physical activity as a way of encouraging wellbeing, connection and personal development.

Participants are encouraged to bring a bottle of water, a towel and positive energy.
