CHAMPIONS! London Enterprise Academy Girls Soar to Tower Hamlets Badminton Glory

London Enterprise Academy girls etched their names into local sporting history as they were crowned champions at the Tower Hamlets Badminton Tournament 2026, capping off a season defined by participation, dedication, energy and unwavering commitment.

From the opening serve to the final point, the team displayed a blend of composure and competitive spirit that set them apart.

For Shiba, Sanjida, Suraia, Amira and Munni, each match reflected hours of training, resilience under pressure, and a collective belief that success was within reach.

The journey to the title was not just about winning rallies, but about building confidence, trust and a shared identity.

The tournament itself brought together some of the borough’s strongest teams, creating a vibrant and challenging environment.

Yet London Enterprise Academy rose to the occasion, with standout performances across singles and doubles fixtures.

Sharp footwork, tactical awareness and clear communication proved decisive, particularly in tightly contested matches where margins were slim.

Highlights included a series of commanding wins in the group stages, followed by a gripping semi final that tested both skill and nerve. In the final, the team delivered a composed and clinical performance, sealing victory in style and sparking celebrations among players, staff and supporters.

Beyond the medals and trophies, this achievement reflects the school’s wider ethos of combining sport with education.

Team coach Jahangir Rahman praised the efforts of the team, “Our focus was always on effort, discipline and belief. The girls trusted the process, supported each other and played with heart. Seeing them grow in confidence and lift the trophy today is incredibly proud moment for all of us.”

Head teacher Ashid Ali praised the team’s efforts, saying, “This is a fantastic achievement for our students and a proud moment for the whole school community. Their commitment, resilience and teamwork have been outstanding. They have shown what is possible when determination meets opportunity, and they are an inspiration to others across the academy.”
