London Enterprise Academy celebrates excellent GCSE results

London Enterprise Academy is celebrating an excellent set of GCSE results, with pupils achieving further improvements on last year and performing significantly above the national average in key subjects.

Students achieved particularly strong results in English, maths, science and Attainment 8, highlighting the hard work and commitment of both pupils and staff.

Headteacher Ashid Ali said: “I am really proud of the work that our staff have done with the students and the dedication of our students working through some very challenging times over the past five years.”

He added that students will progress to local colleges and sixth form centres, as well as prestigious academic sixth forms including Newham Collegiate Sixth Form Centre, London Academy of Excellence and Brampton Manor Academy.

Mr Ali said the school had focused on delivering what parents wanted for their children: “That their children are safe, develop good manners and etiquettes and leave with good GCSE results so that they can have a bright future in this great City of London. We are delivering this.”

The academy also highlighted the breadth of its GCSE offer. Students take more GCSEs than pupils at other local schools on average, with the school encouraging students to study second and third languages.

Subjects include Arabic, Bangla, French, Italian, Portuguese, Persian and Russian.

Among the high performing students were Nafis Ahsun, who achieved 12 GCSEs, including 10 grades between 7 and 9, and Ibrahim Mohammad, who achieved 14 GCSEs, including eight grades between 7 and 9.

Other outstanding performances included Nikol Rakhman and Suraia Bhuiyan, who each achieved 11 GCSEs with eight grades at 8-9; Labiba Nuha and Ahmed Ibrahim Guudle, who each achieved 11 GCSEs with seven grades at 8-9; and Amira Mohammed Hussein, who achieved 11 GCSEs with nine grades between 7 and 9.
