The Muslim Charity Run is set to make its much anticipated return this October, once again bringing together runners, walkers, families, and supporters at the heart of Victoria Park.
Organised by the East London Mosque, this popular community event has grown into a highlight of the calendar, uniting people of all ages and backgrounds under one simple banner: running for good causes.
The run embodies the spirit of solidarity. Participants of all ages and abilities are encouraged to run, jog, or walk, each raising funds for causes they hold close.
From local food banks to global relief efforts, the money collected has a direct and meaningful impact.
Abdullah from Barking, a past runner for House of Giving shared, “It felt good raising money for a charity close to my heart while keeping fit and active.”
What makes the run special is its inclusivity. Whether you’re sprinting, jogging, or simply strolling, every step contributes towards raising vital funds for local, national, and international charities. Participants are encouraged to support causes close to their hearts, making the event deeply personal as well as powerfully collective.
Past events have seen thousands raised for humanitarian projects, health initiatives, and grassroots community programmes. Families can also enjoy a day filled with stalls, activities, and a festival like atmosphere.
The run has become a symbol of the area’s resilience and generosity. In a city as diverse as London, it demonstrates how sport and charity can unite people from every walk of life. Organisers are encouraging early registration and reminding local charities that spaces remain open for groups wishing to take part.
The Muslim Charity Run is about fitness and health, but also solidarity in action.
